Text Field Under Custom Payment Method

Hi! We are wanting to add a text field under a custom payment method to allow customers to enter their Cost Center ID when they select the custom “Cost Center“ payment method. We do not have Shopify Plus so we haven’t been able to find a way to accomplish this yet
