We'd like to request purchase-limit features aimed at reducing resale/scalping on high-demand product drops:
Cross-variant quantity limit per product Currently limits appear to be set per SKU/variant. We'd like an option to cap the total quantity a single customer can buy across ALL variants (sizes/colors) of the same product — e.g. max 2 units total even if split across different sizes in one or multiple orders.
Time-boxed quantity limits after release We'd like the ability to apply a stricter purchase limit (e.g. 1 unit per customer per SKU) that is only active for a configurable window after a product goes live (e.g. the first 24–72 hours after publish), and automatically reverts to normal limits after that window expires. This would target the initial resale rush right after a drop without permanently restricting normal repeat customers.
Both settings would ideally be configurable per product/collection, since only select high-demand items need this level of restriction.
Would love to hear if this is on the roadmap, or if there's a workaround using existing Checkout Plus rules.
